On October 9 - 13, 2013 the chain of events directed on strengthening of cultural ties between Russia and Hong Kong was held. Hong Kong week in Russia started on October 9 with the exhibition «A Journey to Hong Kong», which was opened by the Secretary for Home Affairs of Hong Kong Mr.Tsang Tak-sing. The main task of organizers of the exhibition was to get acquainted Russian people with Hong Kong as «the Eastern pearl», with its unique history and culture, on the one hand. And with Hong Kong as a new and dynamically developing megapolis, as a center of crossing of eastern and western cultures, on the other hand. The chain of actions was followed by concerts of Chinese philharmonic orchestra of Hong Kong, which took place in several cities of Russia (Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen), and also by the festival of the Hong Kong cinema.
